Operations Executive
2.9
24 January 2026
Okay place to start, but growth is slow
Pros: As an Operations Executive, I got to learn a lot about the daily grind of the facility management industry. The team's pretty solid, and you get decent exposure to different client sites in the Kuala Lumpur area. It's a relatively stable corporate environment, good for gaining initial onsite experience.
Cons: Career growth here is really tough, especially for field-based operations roles. There's not much structure for moving up; I felt like I hit a ceiling after a year. Promotions felt more about who you knew rather than performance, and professional development programs are limited.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer career paths for employees, especially for onsite operations roles. Invest more in training and development to keep good people from leaving.

Operations Supervisor

Pay is okay, but benefits could improve
Pros: The base salary is pretty decent for an Operations Supervisor in facility management. They do provide basic medical coverage, which is a plus. It's a stable, mid-sized company in Petaling Jaya.
Cons: Salary reviews aren't very frequent or generous; raises are often small. The benefit package is pretty standard, not much beyond the basics for industrial cleaning roles. Don't expect performance bonuses or stock options here.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing salary structures more often. Better performance bonuses would really help motivation for employees, especially in our key industrial cleaning division.

Service Technician

Pretty set schedule, not much room to move
Pros: The team's generally good, and you really learn a lot about industrial cleaning equipment. They do provide all the necessary tools for onsite jobs. Good for stable work if you don't need much flexibility in your day.
Cons: Work flexibility is quite low as a Service Technician. You're always onsite, following pretty strict schedules for specialized cleaning solutions. It's tough to adjust hours for personal stuff in Shah Alam, which really impacts work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Consider allowing even minor schedule adjustments for field staff when it's feasible. More understanding for personal matters would really help morale for Service Technicians.
