Project Coordinator

Okay Place, But Flexibility Isn't Their Thing
Pros: The team in the Kuala Lumpur office is generally solid, and you get decent exposure to the resource industry. There's good job security for site-based work, which is a plus for some.
Cons: Work flexibility is pretty much non-existent here. Don't expect any WFH options as a Project Coordinator. It's strictly onsite, 9-to-5, no wiggle room even for small things. This makes work-life balance tough.
Advice to Management: Management should really consider offering some form of hybrid or even occasional remote work for roles that don't require constant physical presence. It would help with employee morale and retention, especially for the younger workforce.

Junior Project Engineer

Career Growth Is Pretty Stagnant
Pros: The team in my department is really solid, and we work well together. There's a decent work-life balance for an onsite role in resource management, which is a big plus.
Cons: Career progression is a big issue for engineering roles. You don't get much chance to take on bigger projects or get promoted unless someone leaves. It feels like a mid-sized corporate company that's just happy with the status quo.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer career paths and offer more training for employees like Junior Project Engineers. We want to grow, but there isn't much opportunity right now to move up in this heavy industry.
