Pros: The team is super friendly, which makes the onsite role pretty enjoyable. We had good shifts, and management was generally supportive if you needed a day off. It's a nice local cafe vibe in Portland, OR.
Cons: Honestly, career growth as a Barista here is pretty non-existent. There's no clear path for advancement beyond a shift lead, and even those spots rarely open up. If you're looking to grow in the specialty coffee industry, this small business might not be the best long-term fit.
Advice to Management: Management should really think about creating more structured training or promotion tracks for cafe workers. It would help retain talent and show employees there's a future here.
