Okay place, but don't expect big career moves
Pros: You can get solid experience with different machines if you're proactive. It's good for new grads in precision manufacturing to learn the ropes. The work itself is steady and dependable.
Cons: Career growth isn't really a priority for this mid-sized manufacturing company. There aren't many opportunities for advancement past a certain point. Formal training for upskilling is pretty rare, you're mostly on your own.
Advice to Management: Invest more in employee development and create clearer paths for advancement for skilled roles like CNC Machinists. It would really help with retention and morale.

Decent pay, but benefits could improve
Pros: Salary for a Production Engineer is actually pretty good, especially if you work some overtime. The base pay is competitive within the precision manufacturing sector in Penang. They offer basic medical coverage and a small annual bonus, which is decent.
Cons: The benefits package isn't great; limited annual leave and no dental coverage. Raises aren't very frequent, and it's tough to negotiate a significant jump. Compared to other mid-sized companies, the overall perks feel a bit behind.
Advice to Management: Review the benefits package, especially annual leave and healthcare options. More frequent salary reviews would also help retain talent in this competitive industry.

Okay for a start, but balance is tough.
Pros: I liked working with my team in the Penang office; they're really supportive. You learn a lot quickly, which is great for anyone starting their career in precision manufacturing. There's a lot of hands-on experience as a Production Engineer here.
Cons: Work-life balance is pretty rough. Expect long hours, sometimes 10-12 hour days, especially when projects are due. Weekends can get eaten up too. It's tough to plan anything personal when the schedule is so unpredictable for onsite roles.
Advice to Management: Try to implement clearer project planning and better resource allocation. This could help reduce the constant need for overtime and improve work-life balance for Production Engineer staff.
