Pros: You get some decent flexibility managing your own water treatment projects. It's good for field service engineer roles if you're hitting deadlines. Sometimes, you can even adjust your daily start time a little.
Cons: Most of the work is onsite at client locations, so true work-from-home isn't an option for environmental engineering staff. If there's an emergency with a municipal water system, you're expected to respond fast. That can really mess with your personal plans.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more hybrid options for days we're not on client sites. Trust your team more on managing their time, especially for environmental engineering admin work.

Pros: The core team's pretty supportive, especially when you're out onsite in Kuala Lumpur. They try to give you some flexibility if you finish early. You do get to learn a lot about different water treatment technologies.
Cons: Work-life balance is tough sometimes. As a Field Service Technician, you're expected to be available for emergency calls, even weekends. It's hard to plan personal stuff when your schedule can change suddenly.
Advice to Management: Try to staff more people for the Field Service Technician roles. It would help spread the emergency call burden and improve everyone's work-life balance.

Pros: The company has really solid, long-term municipal contracts, so as a Junior Water Engineer, I felt pretty secure in my role. We worked on essential water treatment projects. There's good job stability in the Kuala Lumpur office.
Cons: However, career growth is pretty slow here. Promotions don't happen often, and for someone wanting to learn new environmental engineering technologies quickly, it's not ideal. You can feel a bit stuck after a while.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer career paths for engineers. Offer more training in newer water engineering technologies to keep talent engaged.
