Hybrid model is okay, but could be better
Working at Alignerr was a mixed bag. The tech industry moves fast, and sometimes the company felt a little stuck on old ways, especially with flexibility for technical roles.
I liked the option for a hybrid model; we got 2 WFH days a week. That's pretty solid for a mid-sized tech company in the San Francisco Bay Area. It helped a lot for personal appointments without using PTO.
The WFH days felt strict though, no real wiggle room beyond those two. As a Software Engineer, I felt like my output should matter more than my physical presence. Not much flexibility for truly remote work or shifting hours much.
Consider more trust-based remote options. For technical roles, focusing on deliverables over office time would really boost morale and potentially attract more talent.
