Pros: It's a stable job, especially as a Lab Technician in the medical diagnostics field. I definitely learned a lot about new testing methods. The team is pretty supportive, which makes the onsite work manageable here.
Cons: The pay just isn't competitive for Boston. For a mid-sized biotech, I really expected more from the salary. Health benefits were decent, but the 401k match was pretty weak. It's tough to afford living here on that income.
Advice to Management: Please re-evaluate the compensation structure. Especially for the Boston office, the salaries aren't keeping up with the cost of living. Investing more in employee pay and benefits would make a huge difference in retention.
