Okay if you don't mind staying put
Pros: Working in a hybrid setup in Seattle definitely has its perks. As a Software Engineer, I got to work on some cool front-end development projects with a pretty solid team. The work-life balance isn't bad either.
Cons: But there's not much room to grow here, which is tough for career growth. I've seen folks stuck at the same level for years; no clear promotion path for a mid-sized tech company. It feels like you hit a ceiling fast.
Advice to Management: Management needs to really think about career progression. Create defined paths for Software Engineers and other roles, not just vague promises.

Leadership is a bit hit or miss here
Pros: As a Marketing Coordinator, I've seen some really supportive team leads. They're good at project management and giving feedback. The hybrid work setup in the Chicago office is a huge plus, too.
Cons: Upper management often feels out of touch with day-to-day operations. Communication from the top down is pretty weak for a mid-sized design agency. It can be tough to get clear direction.
Advice to Management: Focus on consistent training for all managers, especially in communication. Make sure leadership understands the daily challenges for roles like Marketing Coordinator.

Company Culture Needs a Real Boost
Pros: You get to work on interesting backend development projects. The hybrid work setup is decent, letting you WFH a few days. We had some fun team-building events early on for a growing startup in Austin.
Cons: The company culture feels a bit disjointed now. There's not much leadership visibility, and it's tough to feel connected for many remote employees. Sometimes, team leads push long hours, and it burns people out.
Advice to Management: Focus on rebuilding trust and transparency. Get leadership more involved with the teams, especially for software development folks. Implement clear boundaries for work hours; it's essential for a healthy tech industry environment.

Hybrid model has pros, but could be better
Pros: The hybrid model is good for some. You get a few WFH days a week, which helps with personal appointments. It's solid for most engineering roles, offering some needed flexibility.
Cons: The required in-office days can feel a bit rigid. It's not truly flexible if you still have to commute specific days. For a modern tech industry company, it could offer more options.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more truly flexible WFH options or letting teams decide their own schedules. The current hybrid model feels a bit forced for the Austin office.

Decent for entry-level tech, but culture needs work
Pros: The product itself is interesting, and as an Associate Software Engineer, I learned a lot about front-end development. The benefits package for big tech is decent too, and they're pretty good with WFH flexibility in the San Francisco office.
Cons: The company culture here feels a bit distant, which can be tough. There's not much team bonding, and sometimes it feels like leadership is out of touch with the individual contributor experience.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more team building events and really listen to feedback from engineering teams. Better communication from senior leadership would help make people feel more connected.

Culture is decent, but has its moments
Pros: The team in the San Francisco office is super collaborative. I learned a lot from senior colleagues on complex architecture projects. There's a decent push for mentorship too, which helps junior staff develop.
Cons: It feels very much like a big corporate entity sometimes. Decisions can be slow, and there's a lack of transparency from upper management. The hybrid work policy isn't always clear, leading to confusion for Project Coordinator roles.
Advice to Management: Be more transparent with company-wide decisions. Clarify the hybrid work expectations for all staff, especially for those in client-facing Project Coordinator roles. Foster more bottom-up communication.

Work-life balance is decent, but depends on projects
Pros: As a Project Manager, I appreciate the flexibility for appointments. There's no micro-management on *how* I get my work done. Generally, 40-hour weeks are the norm in the software development industry, which is nice.
Cons: During crunch times for big client deliverables, the hours can get pretty long, like 50-60 hours. This definitely impacts my personal time. Sometimes it feels like the expectation for a remote Project Manager is always being available.
Advice to Management: Try to buffer project timelines more effectively. It would really help us Project Managers avoid those intense crunch periods and improve overall employee well-being.

Hybrid model has its ups and downs
Pros: I liked the option to come into the San Francisco office a few days a week; it's good for team syncs and collaboration. For Software Engineer roles, some remote work options are available, which helps on certain days.
Cons: The "hybrid model" isn't always as flexible as advertised. There's often an unspoken pressure to be onsite more than two days, which impacts personal plans and real work-life balance. It's tough when the policies feel a bit rigid.
Advice to Management: Try to make the hybrid schedule truly flexible for all roles. Trust your employees to manage their time and work effectively from home when needed, especially in our tech industry.

Job security here is pretty average.
Pros: The benefits package for a Software Engineer here is solid, especially healthcare. They've also been good about hybrid work, letting us come in a few days a week to the San Francisco office. You don't have to worry about salary often.
Cons: Job security, though, can be a real concern. There have been a few rounds of layoffs in the tech industry generally, and Strada wasn't immune. It makes you wonder if your role is safe, even as a senior developer.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent about the company's financial health and future plans. It would really help calm nerves about job stability.

Career Growth Is Slow Here, Honestly
Pros: I've learned a lot of new tools working as a Junior Architect. The team in the San Francisco office is super collaborative. You get exposed to different project types pretty quickly, which is a plus for general experience.
Cons: Career growth for architectural roles feels really stalled. There's no clear promotion path or mentorship program. It's hard to see how you move up from a Junior Architect here.
Advice to Management: Establish clear growth paths for employees, especially in design and architectural roles. Invest in mentorship programs and give people a vision for their future here.
