Hybrid Model is Okay, Room for Improvement
Pros: They do have a pretty solid hybrid model for the San Francisco office. As a Software Engineer, I could usually pick my two office days, which was a plus. It's not full remote, but it's better than five days in the office.
Cons: The 'flexible' part of the hybrid model felt a bit rigid sometimes. If you're looking for true WFH in the IoT industry, this isn't it. You can't just switch your office days last minute, which was tough for unexpected appointments.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more flexibility within the hybrid schedule. Allow engineers to swap office days more easily or offer more WFH options for specific projects, especially for engineering roles.

Okay culture, but WFH is a struggle here
Pros: The team's pretty solid, and folks in the San Francisco office are generally helpful. I found the work in smart home tech to be pretty interesting, which kept me engaged as a Software Engineer.
Cons: Work flexibility is super low; it's mostly onsite. They really push you to be in the office, and remote work isn't a real option for many engineering roles. It's tough to balance personal life stuff when you're always expected to be physically present.
Advice to Management: Seriously consider offering more remote work options. The current 'hybrid' model isn't truly flexible for many positions; it just feels like mandatory office time.
