Pros: My manager was pretty solid; we had good weekly 1:1s, which helps. There are some internal learning sessions you can join, which is a plus for a mid-sized tech company that values continuous learning.
Cons: It's really tough to see a clear promotion path here for software development roles. You kinda just have to wait for someone to leave, or really fight for new projects. The hybrid work model is okay, but doesn't change the lack of clear advancement.
Advice to Management: Create clearer, more transparent growth paths for individual contributors, especially for software development roles. Invest more in internal training and mentorship programs.
