Pros: The team in the NYC office was really solid; we had a good crew. It's a nice atmosphere for a coffee shop, and the discounts on clothes were a perk. You'll make some decent friends.
Cons: Career growth for a Barista is pretty much non-existent. There aren't many opportunities to move into management or corporate roles in this retail industry. It felt like a dead end after a while.
Advice to Management: Management should really think about creating a clear path for Baristas and other retail roles. It'd help keep good people around if there were more chances for internal promotion. Invest in training for future leadership roles.
