Pros: The pay and benefits for a private school are actually quite solid. Our department team is really collaborative, and I appreciate the support among fellow High School Teachers. I've grown a lot in my teaching skills within the education sector here.
Cons: Leadership often makes big decisions about curriculum development without much input from those of us actually in the classroom. It feels like there's a real disconnect there. This makes planning tough, and it impacts teacher morale quite a bit.
Advice to Management: Seriously involve teachers in decisions about curriculum and school policies. It'd make a huge difference in morale and results. Better communication from the top down is key.
