Software Engineer

Leadership has its moments, good and bad
Pros: Some of the direct team leads in the Austin, TX office are genuinely good, really supportive if you're a Software Engineer working on projects. The hybrid work model is also a plus, letting me balance my time. We get decent modern tools for software development.
Cons: Upper management often feels disconnected from the day-to-day, especially for a mid-sized tech company. Decisions can take forever, which is tough in a fast-paced tech industry. There isn't much transparency from leadership about big company changes.
Advice to Management: Try to be more visible and transparent with the teams, especially us Software Engineers in the Austin, TX office. Faster decision-making from the top would help a lot with project momentum in the tech industry.

Junior Software Engineer

Leadership is Okay, But Could Be Stronger
Pros: As a Junior Software Engineer, you get hands-on experience quickly. There's good mentorship from senior folks in this Jakarta tech startup. Plus, they offer decent hybrid work options.
Cons: Leadership often changes direction without much warning, which can be frustrating. Communication from the top isn't always clear, impacting project timelines. It feels like there's not always a solid long-term vision.
Advice to Management: Try to be more consistent with project roadmaps and transparent in decision-making. Clearer communication from top leadership would really help the engineering teams.
