Assembly Line Technician

Güntner Culture is Okay, But Could Improve
Pros: As an Assembly Line Technician here, I've got pretty consistent 40-hour weeks. The onsite team in the Savannah, Georgia plant is generally friendly, and there's a solid sense of community among the production folks. Benefits are actually decent for the industrial equipment manufacturing industry.
Cons: The company culture can feel a bit old-school. There's not much room for feedback from the lower ranks, and communication from upper management feels pretty top-down. It's tough to feel heard, and adapting to new ways of doing things in HVACR production is slow.
Advice to Management: Try to listen more to your employees on the floor. Open up communication channels for real feedback and be more proactive in modernizing the company culture.

Sales Engineer's Take: Leadership Can Be Hit Or Miss
Pros: I liked selling their HVAC solutions and refrigeration products; they're solid. It's a pretty stable, family-owned company, which is nice for job security. For sales roles, there's decent work flexibility.
Cons: Leadership in our Atlanta, GA office sometimes feels out of touch. Communication often lacks clarity, which is tough for strategic planning. It's hard to see a clear growth path for a Sales Engineer into management here.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating a more unified vision and improve how you communicate strategic goals to the teams. Empower team leads more.

Good Job Security for Industrial Manufacturing
Pros: As a Manufacturing Engineer here, job security is pretty solid. Güntner is a stable global manufacturer in industrial refrigeration. I never worried about layoffs in the Richmond, VA office.
Cons: Career progression can be slow sometimes, especially for more senior roles. It's not a fast-paced startup, so don't expect rapid promotions.
Advice to Management: Try to create more clear paths for career growth for employees.

Pretty Stable, But Don't Expect Flexibility
Pros: The company is really stable, which is a big plus in industrial manufacturing. As an Applications Engineer, I felt secure in my role and the benefits package was pretty decent for the industry. There's a good sense of camaraderie among the team here at their Fort Myers facility.
Cons: Work flexibility is a real struggle, though. There's almost no option for remote or even a hybrid model; it's pretty much 100% onsite work. If you have appointments or need to adjust your schedule, it's a tough conversation with management. This really impacts the work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Seriously consider offering some kind of hybrid work arrangement or more understanding around flexible hours. It would really help with retention and employee morale, especially for technical roles like Applications Engineers.
