Hybrid Model is Okay, Needs Consistency for Global Team
Pros: The hybrid work model is a decent perk, especially for the Raleigh, NC office. I could usually work from home a couple of days a week, which definitely helped with my commute. For some technical roles in the energy sector, there's good team-level autonomy on schedules.
Cons: The 'flexibility' really depends on your manager, which can be tough. There aren't many full remote options, even for roles that could easily be done remotely. Policies feel inconsistent across different departments or even within the same building, making work-life balance a bit of a gamble.
Advice to Management: Standardize remote work policies more clearly across all business units and in North America. Give managers better guidelines for work flexibility so it's not a lottery depending on who you report to. Invest more in technology for truly effective hybrid and remote collaboration for global enterprise operations.

Hybrid setup is decent, but could be better
Pros: They do have a decent hybrid work model. As an Electrical Engineer, I could WFH 2-3 days a week, which is solid for personal errands and focus work. The company generally respects the 40-hour work week.
Cons: The 'flexible' part often depends heavily on your direct manager. Some are super strict about office days, even if you don't really need to be there for certain tasks in the energy sector. It's tough when you have a big project and need focused time, but still have to commute in.
Advice to Management: Trust your teams more with remote work decisions. A blanket hybrid policy doesn't always make sense for every role, especially for individual contributors like engineers who can be productive remotely.

Hybrid Work Model Is Just Okay Here
Pros: It's nice to have a few work-from-home days each week. This hybrid model helps avoid the daily commute to the Raleigh office. For electrical engineering projects, some tasks can definitely be done remotely.
Cons: True work flexibility isn't really there, even with hybrid. You're often expected onsite for meetings or power grid project check-ins. It feels less like choice and more like a schedule.
Advice to Management: Managers should trust their teams more for remote work. Give us real autonomy on WFH days for electrical engineer roles. It would boost morale and productivity.
