Key Responsibilities

  • Perform customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD) and simplified due diligence for individual and corporate clients at onboarding and on an ongoing basis.
  • Conduct KYC verification, beneficial ownership identification and source of wealth / source of funds assessments.
  • Carry out name screening against sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEP) and adverse media lists, and investigate and disposition potential matches.
  • Perform periodic reviews and trigger-event reviews of client relationships based on risk rating and review cycles.
  • Assess and assign customer risk ratings in accordance with the firm's risk-based approach.
  • Escalate high-risk clients, unusual findings and potential suspicious activity to the AML team / MLRO.
  • Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date client records and CDD documentation in relevant systems.
  • Support the enhancement of KYC/CDD procedures, workflows and screening tooling, and assist with audits and regulatory reviews


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' KYC/CDD experience within an SFC-licensed corporation, bank or financial institution in Hong Kong.
  • Solid knowledge of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance (Cap. 615) and the SFC AML/CFT Guideline.
  • Hands-on experience with name screening, PEP/sanctions screening and adverse media checks.
  • Familiarity with individual and corporate onboarding, beneficial ownership structures and source of funds/wealth assessment.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and sound documentation discipline.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin), including reading Chinese-language documents.
  • ACAMS or equivalent AML certification.
  • Experience with KYC/screening systems and high-volume, digital-first onboarding.
  • Experience with KYC/CDD procedures for corporate clients will be an advantage.
