Overall Role
To achieve excellence in Data Center management programs incorporating industry best practice, innovative techniques and statutory and contractual compliance. Reports to the Service Delivery Manager.
Major Responsibilities
- Review Pipeline entry requests to ascertain on how these boxes can be provisioned in the DC with recommendation from the DC Service Delivery / Change / Facility managers & client as required
- Implementing the changes (involves hardware upgrades, new hardware installations, server relocations, decommissions, configuration for accessibility, patching and laying cables from installed device to assigned switch ports).
- Stock supply of cabling and patch cords as required
- Installation of structured cabling solutions as per onsite solutions
- Support of the warrantee for cabling solutions, working with manufacture to ensure the solutions meet the required standards
- Removal of unused structured cabling as required
- Unique labelling of patch cables
- Details of the implementation (Patching details and cabinet location detail) for their records which are mostly comprised in Detail Design Form (DDF / DLD etc, ) or equivalent and raise relevant changes for physical implementation
- Handle Incident tickets according to client company guideline
- Timely and Professionally reply to management and clients
- Work included as mentioned but not limited to the above
- Overnight shifts / shift rotation / site rotation are expected
Ideal Experience
- 3-5 years Data Center Operational experience.
- Extensive knowledge of ServiceNOW.
- Extensive knowledge of Server Hardware as well as Networking Hardware.
- Extensive knowledge of Data Center Power schemes.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications / Mobile applications
- Extensive verbal English / Cantonese and written communication skills.
- Mandarin communication skill is preferred
