Position Purpose

The site delivery team at TAIT is made up of technical experts and project leaders who plan, setup, commission, and handover innovative systems to clients on sites throughout the world. The site delivery team leader is responsible for managing a team of multi-national engineers, technicians, and specialists through the day-to-day functioning of the department, delivering successful projects, and promoting high-performance teamwork. This new role in the TAIT team is an exciting opportunity to grow regional presence and partnerships. The team leader must maintain a general knowledge of the industry and TAIT business alongside best practices associated with management techniques and administrative housekeeping. Reporting to the UK based director of site delivery, this person closely works with the other managers in the capability to align with broader business objectives and the regional team’s needs.

Essential Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Team management, coaching, and professional development
    • Coaches team members on leadership and TAIT traits.
    • Facilitate check-ins and 1on1 meetings with each direct report on their team.
    • Helps build career development and growth plans for direct reports.
    • Assists in the hiring process for new team members.
    • Manages new employee onboarding.
    • Promotes and builds a strong culture for the department around high-performance teamwork and mindful leadership skills.

  • Scheduling Coordination
    • Collaborate with department leadership to forecast and fulfil project staffing requests
    • Coordinate shift assignments, time-off requests, and scheduling changes while minimizing conflicts.
    • Responsible for scheduling systems and processes to ensure effective tracking of team commitments.
    • Point of contact between team and business for scheduling decisions.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for all in region scheduling-related inquiries.

  • Department Operations:
    • Ensure teams training/certification databases are kept up to date.
    • Identify and book training courses to ensure team compliance with all applicable industry & legislative qualification requirements.
    • Maintain team tooling and uniform inventories, completing purchasing to maintain stock levels as needed.
    • Monitors & approves working time and variable hours to ensure compliance with all regional working time laws and business needs.
    • Maintains a fundamental understanding of TAIT project structure to create common vocabulary and shared experiences with direct reports and project teams.

  • People Management / Leadership Responsibilities:
    • Lead, coach, and develop a multi‑disciplinary technical team, providing regular feedback, performance evaluation, and support aligned with Site delivery capability frameworks.
    • Promote a culture of psychological safety, inclusion, accountability, and high‑performance teamwork.
    • Support workforce planning, staffing decisions, and resource forecasting to enable efficient and safe project delivery.
    • Reinforce TAIT leadership expectations, ensure clear communication, and model mindful leadership practices.
Qualifications And Experience

  • Experience coaching and developing technical professionals, including performance management and skills planning.
  • Ability to interpret schedules and staffing requirements.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in English to HKDSE English level 4 or similar required.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese preferred.
  • Familiarity with regional‑specific labor practices, safety expectations, and cultural norms

Physical Demands

  • Hybrid office and site‑based work, with periods of standing, walking, climbing, or navigating active technical environments.
  • Ability to travel to project sites internationally, as needed to support direct reports.

Work Conditions Of The Role Are

  • Combination of office, shop, and on‑site project environments depending on team needs.
  • May require irregular hours, travel, and coordination with global teams across time zones.
  • Must adhere to all TAIT and client‑specific safety, risk, and operational policies and practices.
  • Work involves close collaboration with regional and global Site delivery teams, Project Leaders, and cross‑functional partners.
