Okay flexibility, but room to improve
Pros: There's some decent work flexibility, especially if you're not in a client-facing Recruitment Consultant role every single day. The hybrid model for our London office was a lifesaver sometimes, letting you WFH a couple of days a week.
Cons: But it's not always consistent. For some roles in the fast-paced recruitment industry, you're expected to be in the office a lot. It can make work-life balance a real challenge, especially when client demands pick up.
Advice to Management: Give more genuine autonomy over schedules. Trusting your Recruitment Consultants more with their time would go a long way in improving retention.

High pressure, good training for new recruiters
Pros: You get really strong training as a Recruitment Consultant here. It's a great place to build your sales skills and network within the recruitment industry. The commission structure is decent if you hit your targets.
Cons: The job security can feel really low if you don't hit your numbers. There's constant pressure to meet tough sales targets, especially in the New York, NY office. High turnover is pretty common because of this.
Advice to Management: Consider less intense monthly targets, especially for newer consultants. Focus more on long-term development to reduce the high turnover.

Hybrid Work Is Okay, But Still Pretty Strict
Pros: The hybrid model is actually a plus; two days WFH helps a lot. It's better than being fully onsite five days a week, especially as a Recruitment Consultant in the London office. You do get some personal time back.
Cons: Don't expect much work flexibility beyond the set hybrid schedule. Management often prefers you in the office more than two days. It's a very corporate environment focused on presenteeism, which makes it tough for staffing roles sometimes. Can feel like micromanagement.
Advice to Management: Loosen the reins on work flexibility a bit. Trust your recruitment consultants more with their schedules, especially after they hit targets. It would really boost morale and might even improve productivity.

Tough But Rewarding for Recruitment Consultants
Pros: You definitely develop strong sales skills here. There's good training for new Recruitment Consultants joining the New York City office. The commission structure for successful placements can be solid.
Cons: The company culture can feel pretty intense and competitive. It's a high-pressure sales environment, so work-life balance is tough. There's not much flexibility for a hybrid work model, it's mostly in-office.
Advice to Management: Focus more on fostering a collaborative culture rather than just pure competition. Maybe offer more flexibility for experienced team members.

Tough but rewarding for Recruitment Consultants
Pros: You really learn a lot in this recruitment industry. The training is solid, and you get to work with some smart people. It's good for building a network in talent acquisition.
Cons: Work-life balance can be a real struggle, especially for recruitment roles. Expect to work more than 40 hours a week regularly. It's tough to fully disconnect after hours in this corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Try to encourage more realistic expectations for hours, especially for new Recruitment Consultants. A better hybrid model or WFH options could really help boost morale.

Leadership can be a real mixed bag
Pros: You learn a ton, super fast, especially in the recruitment industry. Some senior managers are genuinely great mentors if you're proactive. There's good autonomy for established recruitment consultant roles.
Cons: There's often a lot of micromanagement from team leaders, which feels old-school. Senior leadership in the London office sometimes seems out of touch with the daily grind. It's tough when support isn't consistent, especially during slow periods.
Advice to Management: Invest more in consistent leadership training. Team leaders need to offer real support, not just push for targets. Focus on empowering, not just overseeing, especially for junior consultants.

High energy but intense sales culture
Pros: The energy in the New York City office is infectious and keeps you motivated. You learn a ton in the recruitment industry quickly, especially in client acquisition. There's a solid commission structure if you perform really well for sales roles.
Cons: The company culture can be pretty cutthroat, especially for new Recruitment Consultants. Long hours are often expected, making work-life balance tough. It's a very target-driven corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Work on fostering a more collaborative environment. Recognize efforts and contributions beyond just hitting the biggest numbers to improve the company culture.

High energy, sales-driven culture for recruiters
Pros: The energy in the London office is genuinely high. For recruitment consultant roles, there's a strong team vibe, especially when targets are hit. It's a solid corporate agency if you thrive on sales and commission.
Cons: The culture can be pretty cutthroat. There's a big focus on individual numbers, which can feel intense. Work-life balance isn't great, it's very much an onsite environment with long hours, typical for the recruitment agency industry.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more collaboration and less direct competition among team members. A little more emphasis on work-life balance for recruitment consultant staff would go a long way in retaining talent.

Job Security is Okay, But It's a Target Game
Pros: As a Recruitment Consultant, job security felt pretty decent for me because I usually hit my targets. The staffing industry is fairly resilient, so there's always demand. You learn a lot in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Cons: If your numbers dip, you feel that pressure quickly; it's a very performance-driven culture. Job security really depends on your consistent billing, which can be tough in the New York office. There isn't much flexibility if you're not performing.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more support and training during market downturns, not just when people are consistently hitting 100%. Sustainable targets would help with consultant retention.

Good Entry Point, But Career Path Gets Murky
Pros: It's a fantastic place to kick off your career in the recruitment industry. They train you well for client-facing recruitment consultant roles. You learn quickly, and the network is solid for early career professionals.
Cons: Career progression for senior recruitment roles is slow and often unclear. There's a lot of internal competition, making it hard to move up. The targets get super high, and it feels like a treadmill after a while.
Advice to Management: Make career paths for experienced recruitment consultants clearer. Reduce the hyper-competitive internal environment a bit. It would help with retention.
