Decent pay for a data science consulting role
Pros: The base salary for a Data Scientist in the Paris office isn't bad. You get pretty solid health benefits compared to some other mid-sized firms. There's also a good transport reimbursement, which helps with daily costs.
Cons: Bonuses aren't very transparent and often feel a bit low. I've seen better 401k matching at other data analytics companies. Raises can be tough to get; it feels like you really have to fight for them.
Advice to Management: Make the bonus structure clearer and more consistent. It'd help with morale and make people feel more valued.

Hybrid Work is Okay, But Could Be Better
Pros: I liked the option to work from home a couple of days a week for internal data analytics projects. It's a good step toward work-life balance for a data science consultant. The Paris office is pretty nice when you are in.
Cons: You're still expected to be in the Paris office a lot, especially for client meetings. True work flexibility can be hard with demanding AI consulting projects. It feels more hybrid-lite than truly flexible sometimes.
Advice to Management: Try to give teams more autonomy over WFH days, not just client demands. Make the hybrid policy more consistent across all data science consultant roles.

Leadership is Decent, Some Room to Grow
Pros: I've learned a ton as a Data Scientist here. The senior leadership in the New York City office is pretty accessible when you need them. You can pick up solid data consulting skills, which is great for career growth.
Cons: Sometimes the project managers don't communicate client expectations clearly enough. There's a bit of a disconnect between upper management's vision and daily execution for core projects. It's tough to get clear strategic alignment on some initiatives.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer communication strategies for project scope, especially in our hybrid model. Bridge the gap between strategic goals and how they trickle down to delivery teams more effectively.

Decent spot for data pros, but could be better.
Pros: You get good exposure to various data analytics projects, which is solid for career growth. As a data scientist, I learned a lot. The New York office has some genuinely nice folks.
Cons: The company culture can feel a bit cliquey sometimes. It's tough to build a strong team bond on the hybrid model, and that affects team cohesion on big AI projects.
Advice to Management: Try to foster a more inclusive company culture, especially with the hybrid setup. More intentional team-building activities could help a lot.

Good for early career, but demanding
Pros: You'll definitely learn a lot here, especially if you're new to **data consulting**. The projects are challenging, so it's a solid way to build your **data science** skills quickly. Colleagues in the **Paris office** are usually smart and helpful.
Cons: The work-life balance can be tough; long hours are pretty common, especially with tight client deadlines. There isn't much flexibility for **hybrid work**, they really push for everyone to be onsite. The **company culture** sometimes feels a bit top-down, not always open to new ideas from junior staff.
Advice to Management: Seriously consider improving work-life balance and offering more genuine flexibility for hybrid work. Empowering teams and listening to junior staff would really help the company culture feel more modern and inclusive.

Okay culture, but project work can be tough
Pros: The teams in the New York City office are generally supportive, and you get to work on cool AI projects for big clients. It's a pretty good place to grow fast as an Associate Data Scientist, learning new tools and methods quickly. There's a decent focus on collaboration.
Cons: The company culture feels a bit siloed sometimes; different project teams don't always connect. Work-life balance can get tough, especially when project deadlines loom. It often feels like you're just jumping from one intense analytics project to the next with little downtime.
Advice to Management: Management should really work on fostering more cross-team interaction. It would help build a stronger, more unified Ekimetrics culture rather than just client-focused project teams. Also, consider clearer guidelines on project scope to prevent burnout.

Decent Culture, Especially for Data Science Roles
Pros: The company culture here is pretty solid, especially with your direct project teams. As a Data Scientist in the New York City office, I've found a lot of support and collaboration. The hybrid model for work arrangement is a big plus too; it helps balance things out.
Cons: Sometimes it feels a bit corporate, even for a mid-sized firm in data consulting. There's a bit more internal politics than I expected, which can be frustrating. Management could do more to foster a unified culture across all projects.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining internal communication and reducing the perceived internal politics. A stronger, unified culture would make a huge difference.
