Hybrid work is okay, but quite strict
Pros: You do get two WFH days a week, which helps. It's nice for running errands or doctor appointments. For financial services roles, that's pretty decent compared to some places.
Cons: But the hybrid model is really fixed, usually Tuesday-Thursday in the New York office. You can't really swap days around, which makes planning tough. It's not true work-life balance flexibility.
Advice to Management: Try to give Associates more control over their WFH days. A little more flexibility would really help morale.

Solid culture, but demanding for junior staff
Pros: I really liked my team in the London office. They were super supportive, which is key when you're an Analyst. There's a lot to learn in investment banking if you're keen to grow your skills.
Cons: The hours can be brutal, especially for junior roles. Work-life balance isn't great, and sometimes the overall company culture felt a bit old-school and rigid. It's a demanding environment.
Advice to Management: Try to lighten the load for junior staff. Even small changes to expectations or encouraging managers to protect weekends would help a lot with burnout.

Long Hours, Solid Learning in NYC Finance
Pros: You get incredible exposure to complex financial services deals, especially as an Associate Analyst. The hands-on experience in our New York City office is invaluable for career growth. I've learned so much about fixed income products.
Cons: Work-life balance is a real challenge here. Expect really long hours, often 12-14 hour days, and sometimes weekends. There's not much flexibility for hybrid or remote work; it's mostly onsite in this corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Try to implement more flexible work options or at least encourage managers to protect personal time for junior staff. Burnout is a real issue for those in investment banking roles.
