Okay Culture, but It's Changing Fast
Pros: I've met so many brilliant people here, especially as a Software Engineer. The tech stack is solid, and there's a good buzz around innovation. Plus, the hybrid work model from our Austin, TX office is pretty decent.
Cons: It sometimes feels like there are different camps, which makes company culture a bit cliquey. Leadership changes can really swing the vibe, and it feels less 'startup-y' than it used to. Communication about big shifts could be better.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more cross-team collaboration and ensure new hires feel integrated quickly. Consistency in messaging during leadership transitions would really help with morale.

Decent for a Software Engineer, watch out for crunch
Pros: Work-life balance is pretty solid for Software Engineer roles, especially with the hybrid work model. I could usually stick to 40-hour weeks. The Austin, TX office culture is generally supportive when you need time off in the cybersecurity industry.
Cons: Sometimes, release cycles mean crunch time for identity security projects. That can hit work-life balance hard for a few weeks. Project deadlines get pretty tight, which means extra hours are sometimes unavoidable.
Advice to Management: Try to smooth out those crunch times more. Better project planning would really help us manage our workload and prevent burnout during release pushes.

SailPoint: Good WFH, but career path unclear
Pros: Remote work is a big plus; it's easy to manage your day. You definitely get solid experience with enterprise identity and access management solutions. As a Technical Consultant, the initial learning curve teaches you a lot about the product.
Cons: Career growth isn't great for individual contributor roles. It feels like there aren't many clear promotion tracks after your first couple of years. It's tough to move up the ladder here, which can be frustrating.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer, more achievable career progression paths for your technical staff. It'd really help with retaining talent.

Decent flexibility if you manage it right
Pros: The hybrid model is solid here. You can WFH a few days a week, which is great for a Software Engineer who needs focus time on identity security projects. This flexibility really helps avoid the daily Austin, TX commute.
Cons: It's not a full remote setup for most, so you're still expected in the Austin, TX office regularly. Some teams have less flexibility than others in this corporate environment, which can be a pain if your manager isn't as understanding.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize the hybrid work policy across all teams. It would help to ensure everyone gets a similar level of work flexibility regardless of their manager.

Good WFH for some, hybrid for others
Pros: The hybrid model is pretty solid, especially for me as a Software Engineer. I get to do remote work a few days a week, which is great. Our team has good WFH options, making my work-life balance decent.
Cons: It's not always consistent across all teams; some managers push for more in-office days in the Austin, TX office. For IAM roles, sometimes face-to-face time feels expected even when it's not super necessary. The flexibility can depend a lot on your direct leader.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize the hybrid and remote work policies across all departments. This would help a lot with consistency and employee satisfaction regarding work_flexibility.

Solid Remote Options, Mostly Good Flexibility
Pros: I've been working as a Software Engineer here, and the remote work options are really solid. It's a big plus for work-life balance, especially for folks not in the Austin office. They're pretty understanding about WFH for most technical roles in the identity security industry.
Cons: Sometimes, flexibility depends a lot on your specific team lead, which can be tough. There are periods, especially around product releases, where late nights are expected. It's not always easy to adjust your schedule then.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize flexibility policies across all engineering teams. It'd make things fairer for everyone, not just those with super chill managers.

Career growth felt pretty slow here.
Pros: Work-life balance was actually good for a big tech company. I usually stuck to 40-hour weeks. The people in the Austin, TX office are genuinely nice, and we worked on important IAM solutions.
Cons: Career growth for technical roles was a real struggle. There just weren't many clear promotion opportunities or paths upwards. It felt like you really had to push hard to even get noticed for advancement, which wasn't always successful.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating more defined career paths. Give us clear expectations on how to get to the next level. Support internal mobility better.

Pay is okay, benefits are pretty solid
Pros: The health benefits are actually decent, especially for our Austin, TX office. They offer a good 401k match, which is a big plus for a company this size in the IAM solutions space.
Cons: Base salary growth feels slow after the initial hire. Raises haven't really kept up with inflation or market rates for Software Engineer roles.
Advice to Management: Really look at the compensation bands for engineers. We're doing critical identity security work and deserve competitive pay.
