Trader, Fixed Income

Norges Bank Investment Management is looking for a Trader to join our Emerging Market Debt team. You will work closely with a global team of portfolio managers and traders situated in Singapore, Oslo, and New York.

Your primary mandate covers emerging market local currency bonds, FX, and derivatives across Asian markets, complemented by participation in developed market Asian rates as part of a fully integrated desk. This is an autonomous trading role: you will make independent investment decisions with direct accountability for your own risk programs.

The position is based in Singapore, reports to the Head of Emerging Markets, and some travel will be required.

What you will do

• Trade emerging market local currency bonds, FX, and derivatives across Asian markets
  
• Execute developed market rates in the Asian time zone, including government bonds, derivatives, and futures
  
• Run your own investment mandate with direct accountability for your P&L and risk
  
• Manage trading programs around inflows, outflows, and allocation shifts
  
• Work closely with portfolio managers developing ideas and contributing market intelligence
  
• Manage relationships with street sales, trading and syndicate contacts across the Asian region
  
• Collaborate with our global team across Oslo, London, and New York
  
• Adopt new technology and automation tools to improve execution, investment analysis and workflow efficiency

What you need

• A degree in Finance, Economics, or a quantitative field; for experienced candidates, a strong and verifiable track record will be weighted heavily
  
• Proven experience in fixed income trading with a thorough understanding of the relevant markets and trading systems
  
• Deep knowledge of Asian fixed income products and their markets, including bonds, derivatives and FX
  
• A rigorous, analytical approach to risk management and a demonstrated comfort taking and managing risk
  
• Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-asset environment
  
• A genuine interest in applying AI and technology to trading and investment management
  
• Fluency in written and spoken English; strong collaboration and communication skills
