About The Role

Pro Bono SG is Singapore’s largest coordinated pro bono legal services organisation. Our Migrant Workers’ Initiative (MWI) provides legal assistance, representation, and outreach to migrant workers who face significant barriers to accessing justice, including language, documentation, mobility, and financial constraints.

We are seeking a Programme Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of the Migrant Workers’ Law Centre @ MWC (MWLC). Launched in April 2025 in partnership with the Migrant Workers’ Centre (MWC), the MWLC provides free legal consultations and guidance to migrant workers on salary disputes, injury claims, employment grievances, and other legal matters.

This is a hands-on operational role involving centre management, case intake and triage, coordination of legal consultations, volunteer and stakeholder engagement, and programme support. The Programme Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of accessible, responsive, and high-quality legal services to the migrant worker community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Centre Operations &Consultation Coordination
  • Oversee the daily operations of MWLC, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery.
  • Coordinate and schedule legal consultations, including managing appointments, applicant communications, and follow-ups.
  • Conduct intake and triage to direct applicants to appropriate assistance pathways.
  • Facilitate legal clinic sessions at MWLC and community-based locations (e.g. Angullia Mosque).
  • Maintain accurate case and consultation records using internal systems.
  • Track and report operational metrics and KPIs on a monthly basis.
  • Volunteer & Intern Coordination
  • Onboard, train, and supervise interns and volunteers supporting MWLC operations.
  • Coordinate volunteer lawyer rosters and ensure adequate clinic coverage.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for volunteers and interns, providing guidance and support.
  • Maintain participation records and prepare related reports.
  • Stakeholder Engagement &Partnerships
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners, including the Migrant Workers’ Centre (MWC).
  • Liaise with embassies, community organisations, and social service agencies.
  • Coordinate with dormitory operators, employers, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Represent Pro Bono SG at relevant meetings, working groups, and events.
  • Outreach & CommunityEngagement
  • Support outreach activities and engagement sessions, including after-hours and weekend events.
  • Assist in developing legal awareness materials, including multilingual resources.
  • Participate in needs assessments, focus groups, and feedback sessions.
  • Support partner capacity-building initiatives and sector engagements.
  • Programme &Administrative Support
  • Provide administrative and secretariat support to MWLAC and MWG (e.g. agendas, minutes, follow-ups).
  • Assist with representation applications under Pro Bono SG schemes.
  • Support impact reporting through data collection, case stories, and qualitative feedback.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects within the Community Legal Services team.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and implement improvements to workflows and service delivery.
  • Contribute to SOPs, training materials, and operational guides.
  • Stay informed of developments relating to migrant worker rights and the social service landscape.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in social work, social sciences, public administration, law, or related fields (preferred).
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in programme coordination, operations, or community engagement.
  • Experience working with migrant workers or underserved communities (strongly preferred).
  • Experience managing volunteers or interns is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Singapore’s employment and immigration frameworks is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage sensitively with individuals from diverse and vulnerable backgrounds.
  • Comfortable with data systems, reporting tools, and digital platforms.
  • Strong written English, including report writing and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate in languages relevant to the communities served is an advantage.
