Review and approve purchase orders, contracts and project specifications;
Provide project master schedule and oversee progress against the baseline master schedule;
Initiate and obtain approval on variation orders from client on scope changes;
Finalize sub-contracts for fabrication / major equipment etc., negotiate price, schedule & monitor the cost and change orders due to changes initiated by either client or engineering;
Take full responsibility for project cost control. Review project cost reports monthly and keep track of change orders and deviations;
Generate progress reports for the submission to management and clients;
Organize monthly meetings with senior management to review all project activities;
Formalize discussion with Estimating Manager should project cost exceed the budget;
Manage project risk;
Manage health and safety on the project;
Ensure all engineering activities are delivered on schedule with outmost quality;
Conduct project review meetings with clients and related departments. Initiate recovery plans in case of delay and supplement available resources with external sub-contractors if required;
Interface with clients and third parties on all project related activities;
Follow up on accounts receivables;
Prepare all project presentations to a high standard as and when required.
Requirements
Minimum 6 years of project management experience
Willing to travel frequently to Batam as required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline
Strong risk management and problem-solving capability
Experience in monitoring project progress and preparing reports for management and clients
