Leadership at ABB is a bit inconsistent
Working at ABB has its ups and downs, especially with leadership. Some teams are great, but the higher-ups sometimes miss the mark.
My direct team leads are pretty solid. They're good at technical guidance and really help junior Automation Engineers on industrial automation projects. It's nice to have that support when you're figuring things out.
Upper management can feel pretty disconnected from the daily grind in the Raleigh, NC office. Decisions often take forever, which really slows down project timelines. There isn't always a clear vision coming from the top.
Please work on clearer communication channels and empowering middle management more. Speeding up the decision-making process would make a huge difference for everyone.
