Leadership at BJAK: Room to Grow
It's an okay place to work, especially if you're early in your career. There are good people, but leadership definitely has its quirks. You'll learn a lot, but be ready for some bumps.
For a Junior Software Engineer, you get decent access to senior engineering leadership here. My direct manager was pretty supportive, especially during the hybrid work setup in our San Francisco office. They really tried to mentor new hires, which was a big plus.
Upper management in this big tech company can feel pretty disconnected from the daily grind. Sometimes decisions come down without much explanation, which is tough for project planning. There's not a lot of transparency from top leaders about future direction.
Leadership really needs to work on improving communication and transparency. It'd be great if they shared more about company strategy and big decisions, especially with the engineering teams. Help bridge the gap between top brass and individual contributors.
