Solid benefits, but average pay for tech roles
Working at AvePoint as a Software Engineer was an interesting experience. The benefits are okay, but the salary really lags behind other companies in the SaaS space. It's a decent place if you value stability over top-tier compensation.
They offer a pretty standard health insurance package, which is good. There's also a decent WFH stipend since I was remote from Austin, TX. The time off policy isn't bad either.
The base salary for Software Engineer roles isn't competitive, especially compared to other SaaS companies. Annual raises are usually pretty small. Don't expect big bonuses or stock options here.
Management should seriously look at salary bands for technical roles. To attract and retain top Software Engineers, compensation needs to be competitive with the broader SaaS industry. More transparent bonus structures would help too.
