Solid Start, But Growth Can Be Slow

It's a pretty standard software company experience. You can learn a lot, especially if you're new to the industry. But once you get comfortable, finding that next step up internally for software engineers can be tough. The pace is generally okay, though.

Pros

If you're a junior software engineer, you'll pick up a lot about the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and cloud solutions. They do offer some decent learning resources, which is nice for initial skill-building.

Cons

Career growth here is pretty slow for mid-level folks. There isn't a clear path for promotion to senior roles. You often have to really push or look elsewhere to advance as a software engineer.

Advice to Management

You guys need to build out better career ladders and mentorship programs. It would really help retain technical talent, especially for those looking to specialize in complex cloud solutions.

Remote Work Experience: Culture is Just Okay
Pros: I really liked my direct team. Everyone was helpful, especially in navigating the different Microsoft 365 cloud solutions we worked on. For a fully remote setup, we did a decent job connecting.
Cons: The broader company culture felt a bit disconnected. It's tough to build strong bonds when you're not onsite, and there wasn't much effort beyond team level. Sometimes felt like just another cog in a big tech machine.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more cross-team engagement and recognition for remote employees. It'd help a lot with retention and feeling valued in this large corporate environment.

Decent Flexibility for Hybrid Customer Success
Pros: As a Customer Success Manager, the hybrid work model is pretty solid. I appreciated the WFH options, especially when dealing with client calls across different time zones. It's a definite plus for maintaining some work-life balance in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Cons: Sometimes, even with the hybrid setup, team meetings are scheduled without considering everyone's in-office days. This can make the work flexibility feel less impactful for specific SaaS industry roles when you're remote. There isn't much flexibility in core hours.
Advice to Management: Try to optimize meeting schedules for hybrid teams, especially when some people are in the Jersey City office and others are remote. More thought into core hours for global teams would really help.

Okay for a Start, Hard to Grow Later
Pros: As a Technical Consultant, you get a solid intro to Microsoft 365 and data migration. It's a good place to learn the ropes of cloud solutions. The initial training is decent for getting started in this corporate environment.
Cons: But career growth kinda stalls after a bit. There's no clear path for moving up, especially for mid-level roles. Promotions are rare, and there isn't much professional development offered to climb higher.
Advice to Management: Management should really invest in clear career paths and more internal development programs. It would help retain talent if people knew how to move up.
