Broadcom's Culture: Stable but Very Corporate
Working at Broadcom has its ups and downs. As a Software Engineer, I found the pay good, but the overall culture can be a real struggle for innovation. It's a very corporate environment, which isn't for everyone.
It's a big tech company, so the pay and benefits are pretty solid. For Software Engineer roles, you generally get competitive compensation. Job security feels decent too, which is a plus in the semiconductor industry.
The company culture can feel really corporate and sometimes a bit stagnant. There's not much room for innovation, and things move slowly. Work flexibility is also tough to come by; most teams are expected in the San Jose office a lot.
Try to foster a more innovative and agile culture. Listen to employees about work flexibility, especially for technical roles. This could really boost morale.
