Hybrid's Decent, But Could Be Better for Some
Overall, my time at AlphaSense has been pretty standard for a fast-paced tech company. As a Software Engineer, I've seen some good things, especially with the hybrid work option, but there's definitely room for improvement, especially when it comes to consistent flexibility.
Having WFH days is a huge plus; it really helps with the commute to the New York City office. The hybrid work model is a decent setup for many in the market intelligence platform space. It's not fully remote, but it's a solid start.
The work flexibility isn't always consistent. Some teams, like ours in engineering, feel like they have less freedom to adjust their office days. It can be tough when you're expected in for internal meetings that could easily be remote.
Standardize the hybrid work model more across all engineering teams. Give Software Engineers more autonomy on in-office days when their work is primarily independent. This would help a lot with work-life balance.
