• Collaborate as project team member on Software design matters.
• Capture and evaluate customer, internal requirements and vehicle specific interface requirements. Identify suitable concept in terms of functional, technological and effort.

  • Perform requirement reviews, design reviews and code reviews.
  • Perform unit testing and release of the software according to SW release process.
• Develop the SW design taking into consideration the dependencies to other module and integration into the overall system.
• SW programming using both standard and proprietary software tools and libraries.
• Create SW test specifications and protocols, if necessary, develop test SW. Executes test plans to ensure new software meets specifications, functionalities and performance requirements.

Job Summary

• Responsible for Battery testing (qualification, sample, reliability), documentation, problem resolution and failure analysis.
• Ensure released Battery is fulfilling the internal standards, external product safety and country specific requirements.  
• Perform failure analysis on failed Battery from qualification, testing, QZ, warranty and customer complaints. Drive for problem solving and improvement implementations.
• Review & monitor the effectiveness of the Battery test plans and implement improvements where necessary. Perform & ensure test method alignment between test labs.
• Responsible on the accuracy and competency of test reports generated.
• Support component first article inspection approval (ISIR) and approval on incoming part inspection plan including cost reduction activities.
• Manage and improve software quality processes, including requirement analysis, test case design, and defect tracking.
• Maintain and optimize test documentation in tools like CodeBeamer or SharePoint.
• Establish initial software testing strategy and its quality assurance methodologies, prepare training information package and provide training to quality engineers.

Job Scope

• Testing and qualification: Responsible for conducting testing and qualification of Batteries. Ensure meeting committed date to customer with accurate report.
• Develop, review and monitor the effectiveness of the Battery test plans and implement improvements where necessary. Develop test fixture / adaptor and plan equipment for better testing efficiency.
• Establish work instructions for all equipment and testers, with regular review to ensure validity. Train test technicians and ensure their competencies in performing testing.
• Work with project teams to realize the Battery testing schedule / life cycle.
• Responsible for failure analysis and postmortem on defects by using appropriate tools methodology e.g. 5 Why’s, RCA, FTA. Drive for improvements implementation.
• Provide advice on applicable test method to address root-cause of failure and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct regular and quarter review on defect trend for Battery failures for quality management. Conduct Failure Investigation with cross-functional team for non conformance incidents.
• Perform failure analysis on failed parts (inclusive customer and warranty complaints) and support improvement to achieve the agreed target.
• Conduct periodic audits on lab for lab compliances on functions and safety. Adhere 7S practice.
• Software Quality Assurance, requirement management, documentation & compliance
• Define and implement quality standards for embedded software and related applications in power tools.
• Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test cases for software components, ensuring compliance with functional and safety requirements.
• Analyze software requirements for completeness and testability.
• Manage and track defects using tools like CodeBeamer, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
• Continuously improve QA processes, maintain comprehensive documentation in Share Point for test processes, results, and quality metrics.
• Work closely with development, hardware, and system teams to ensure software quality aligns with product performance and safety standards.
• Any other matters as assigned by Superior to meet the target and deadline.

Job Scope

New Product Introduction

• Responsibility for – Start up projects, warranty, customer complaint, first article approval (ISIR), reliability testing (QZ), etc.
• New project product qualification test include fulfill the regulation requirement.
• Actively involves in FEP, QG, FMEA, CP and production line release.
• Prepare product test plan, product inspection plan (EP), QZ test plan and FQ/VQ checklist.
• Provide training to QMM test technician on all the related inspection plan and checklist.
• Work with service center to understand the product quality level in the market.
• Coordinate project testing, investigate the failure and ensure close loop of the action implemented.
• Responsible for part release and incoming inspection plan.
• Ensure all ISIR requirements are fulfill before ISIR released e.g. S,F,L, and Cpk > 1.33, etc.
• To ensure measurement methodology alignment between PgP2 and supplier.
• To ensure all related fixture including short endurance for VQ/FQ audit, practical test are ready before pilot.  
• Lead Q-VSM process and ensure fulfillment during pilot stage.

Operation Support / Value Stream Quality

• Responsible for product & process quality in Value Stream, support VSM on product & process quality performance.
• Responsible for quality management in process changes, sorting & rework flow buyoff, concession management, customer complaint management, etc in the Value Stream.
• Responsible for quality management of ALR, product relocation, plant to plant activities, new line/equipment, machine/process parameters/software buyoff, etc.
• Support & drive PUQ on supplier incoming material quality issue disposition and 8D verification and evaluation.
• Support cost saving, 2nd / alternatives source activities and approve alteration change.
• Regular review with production personnel for CP and FMEA.
• Perform failure analysis on customer – warranty complaint tool and drive for improvement to achieve the agreed target.
• Ensure ANDI contents is checked before release and implemented correctly.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure line and process compliances.
• Conduct Failure Investigation with cross-functional team for non conformance incidents.
• Drive cross functional team for Quality process improvement (e.g. Q VSM, functional test quality gates, MES quality data analysis, etc).
• Responsible for plant to plant quality complaint management.
• Responsible for product transfer on quality measures between plant.
• Responsible for monthly Quality meeting, warranty analysis reporting.
