Job Summary & Purpose

Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure all manufactured products meet required quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. • Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution. Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions. Maintain customer satisfaction and product reliability

8. Reporting & Metrics

• Track and report quality KPIs (defect rate, yield, customer complaints). Present quality performance to senior management. Use data-driven decision making

9. Risk Management

• Identify quality risks in processes and products. Implement preventive measures and mitigation strategies. Ensure product safety and compliance

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or related field.
• 5–10+ years in quality assurance within manufacturing
• Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role
• Experience with QMS, audits, and regulatory compliance
• Strong background in production/process quality

As an Quality Inspector, you’ll be reporting to Inspector Team Leader or Operations Manager and working as part of our Operations department. The purpose of QIMA’s Operations team is to deliver our industry-leading services to our clients while ensuring that all the work we do is performed to the QIMA standard of quality.

Your main duties will revolve around on-site quality inspections of our clients’ products.

• Check email daily to receive inspection documents.
• Attend to inspections on time and communicate with supplier in a professional way.
• Perform the inspection of the merchandise according with company procedures. Supervise the stuffing of the containers according with company procedures.
• Fulfill inspection reports according with company procedures and timelines.

• Responsible as the line/process quality for the Sensors and ASICs production line. Ensure the line/process is complied with quality requirements. Interfacing with Process/ Equipment Engineer.
• Responsible for the product quality for Sensors and ASICs, internally and externally, including incoming product quality issues and customer issues. Interfacing with Product Engineer, Simultaneous Engineering (SE) Team, Central Customer Quality Engineer and/or Central Supplier Quality Engineer.
• Responsible to key in report, generate quality notification in SAP such as Q-Info, Delivery Release and QM-View.
• Responsible for the problem-solving coordination and moderation for the quality issue internally and externally as Problem Solving Expert.
• Responsible as the SPC coordinator for the Sensors and ASICs line.
• Support as PgP5 Internal Auditor, including audit execution, closing and effectiveness verification of audits focus on IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3.
• Support any external/customer audits, including follow-up and closing of related OPL.
• Support department 6S activity.
• Support change management 4M checklist verification.
• Support lessons learned activity. Sharing input to the lesson learned plant coordinator. 
• Support MSA study, including review of MSA study reported by Process/Equipment Engineer.
• Support Daily Leadership Meeting for any quality issue regarding Sensors and ASICs line.
• Responsible for return materials to supplier, including the improvement of the return process.
• Responsible for IB process for return material from customers.
• Responsible for continuous improvement in the area of responsibility.
• Execute any other related duties assigned by supervisor from time to time.

• Responsible for following detailed instruction provided by the Manager/Operations Executives of their section.
• Review of job file prior to inspection ensuring that everything is in order.
• Ensure that the operations or inspections are performed in accordance with the approved procedure or standard/method.
• Prepare all necessary tools, instruments and documentation needed to perform inspection.
• Provide guidance to trainee or junior inspectors when on the job.
• Supervise inspection team when required.
• Check with Port Operations, agents and terminals for arrival and berthing status of vessels.
• Check draft field report and organise report before handing over to Operations Executive.
• Assist in daily operations when required.
• Update Operations Executive on daily basic for operation and highlight any problems encountered during inspection.
• Maintenance on equipment and other apparatus used.
• Bring to the attention to superior of any possible discrepancies during inspection and to take preventive measures.
• Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements.

As a member of the SSD Quality & Reliability Engineering team, you will leverage your expertise in project and program management, risk management, conflict resolution and quality standards & best practices. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and engage with key stakeholders, including Program Management, Customer Management, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Engineering, to ensure the successful execution of quality and reliability initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Represent product quality as the Sustaining Program Manager in core teams, ensuring alignment with quality and reliability goals throughout the product lifecycle.
• Accountable for product quality and reliability when product transitions into sustaining phase. Drive activities to ensure that product quality & reliability expectations are met.
• Lead the resolution of quality-related issues during both New Product Introduction (NPI) and Sustaining phases.
• Communicate quality excursions to executive management and core teams.
• Lead crisis processes, driving closure through risk assessment, containment actions, 8D root cause analysis, CAPA, and lessons learned.
• Collaborate with NPI counterparts to ensure seamless product transition into Sustaining, meeting all product, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in new product kick-off reviews and Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRRs).
• Coordinate with other QAPMs/SMEs to share lessons learned and support continuous process improvement across programs.
