Manage the daily operations of the logistics department, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of goods.
Coordinate with internal teams and external logistics providers to optimise transportation routes and delivery timelines.
Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control in coordination with the Materials Control Department.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of logistics operations.
Analyze data, generate reports, and provide recommendations to management on logistics performance and trends.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal policies
Minimum 5 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain management role, preferably in the manufacturing or freight/cargo forwarding industry
Strong knowledge of freight and cargo forwarding processes, including transportation modes, warehousing, and delivery procedures
Proficiency in logistics software and data analysis tools to track and optimize operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address logistics challenges in a timely and efficient manner
Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
