As a Technical Consultant, you will lead end-to-end client data migration projects, manage associated DevOps and system administration activities, and optimise Ruby on Rails–based ETL processes to ensure reliable, high-performance data integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organise client migration projects
- Facilitate migration meetings and share progress updates
- Lead colleagues through each migration plan
- Ensure data integrity and investigate any transformation errors with development until resolved
- Prepare databases, monitor server capacity, and resolve infrastructure issues blocking migrations
- Develop and maintain Ruby on Rails ETL code, implement enhancements and fix bugs
Requirements
- Project management experience
- Proven ability to coordinate teams and stakeholders
- Strong troubleshooting skills in data migration contexts
- SysAdmin or DevOps experience preparing databases, monitoring servers, and resolving infrastructure issues
- Proficiency in coding in Ruby on Rails
- SQL experience
Desired Skills
- Experience with Jenkins or similar automation servers
- Familiarity with Real Estate CRM platforms
- Working knowledge of MariaDB, Debian 11, AWS, Amazon RDS and Jira
- Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch
- Experience with Redis and Sidekiq
