Your impact
We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineer to join our Project Delivery team supporting mission-critical Data Center projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of low-voltage telecommunications and ICT systems, ensuring high-quality engineering solutions that meet client requirements, industry standards, and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design telecommunications and ICT systems for data center facilities, including
- Structured Cabling Systems
- Network Infrastructure
- Security Systems
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Audio-Visual (AV) Systems
- Develop engineering drawings, technical specifications, and installation details.
- Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and vendor documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Conduct site inspections and support construction activities.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance for telecommunications design solutions.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering or a related discipline.
- Licensed Electronics Engineer (ECE) preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience designing telecommunications and ICT systems for mission-critical facilities or data centers.
- Strong knowledge of
- BICSI Standards
- TIA/EIA Standards
- NFPA 72
- Local Fire and Life Safety Codes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit/BIM.
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
- Experience designing security systems, wireless networks, and fiber optic infrastructure within data center environments.
- BICSI RCDD or equivalent certification.
- Experience working on large-scale, multinational engineering projects.
