What You'll Do
The Category Manager is responsible for driving the overall success of assigned product categories by owning the category's commercial performance, profitability, and customer experience. This role combines strategic planning, relationship management, sales execution, and operational excellence to deliver sustainable business growth across all sales channels
Key Responsibility Areas
- Category Leadership & P&L Management: Own the category's performance from top to bottom line, with accountability for growth and profitability that drives value for edamama and our customers.
- Strategic Partnerships & Relationship Building: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key brands and partners, securing marketing collaborations and brand solutions that propel joint business goals and create winning partnerships.
- Omnichannel Sales Planning (O2O): Lead dynamic sales strategies across in-app, in-store, and event (expo) channels, ensuring cohesive and high-impact customer journeys.
- Market Insight & Competitive Advantage: Develop a forward-thinking approach to assortment, pricing, and merchandising by spotting trends, tracking competitors, and staying attuned to market shifts. Champion unique category differentiators that set us apart.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee stock levels, financial reconciliation, and ensure operational efficiency across channels, while upholding compliance and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Category Management, Buying, Merchandising, E-commerce, Retail, or Commercial Management.
- Proven experience managing category P&L and delivering commercial growth.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills with experience working with brand partners and suppliers.
- Experience developing and executing omnichannel sales and merchandising strategies.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen with proficiency in business performance analysis.
- Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and customer-centric environment.
