The Role

W e are looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to play a key role in advancing COP's offshore wind development activities in the Philippines. Based in Manila, you will support commercial execution, project financing, and investment decision-making across our growing portfolio of offshore wind projects.

This is a highly visible role for an experienced commercial or project finance professional who enjoys working at the intersection of renewable energy development, infrastructure financing, strategic partnerships, and investment decision-making. You will collaborate with senior leadership, investors, lenders, government stakeholders, and project teams to help deliver projects from development through financial close.

The ideal candidate will bring strong project finance expertise, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management capabilities, ideally gained within renewable energy, infrastructure, power, banking, advisory, or investment environments. We are seeking an established professional with significant experience operating independently in complex commercial environments.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Lead and support end-to-end project financing and debt raising activities for offshore wind projects in the Philippines.
  • Manage relationships with local and international banks, export credit agencies, development finance institutions, investors, financial advisers, and other financing stakeholders.
  • Oversee financial modelling, business case development, project economics, investment analysis, and financing sensitivities.
  • Support due diligence processes and coordinate commercial, technical, legal, and financial workstreams through financial close.
  • Support negotiation of financing agreements and other commercial arrangements required to advance project development.
  • Contribute to commercial strategies, market entry activities, partnership opportunities, and portfolio growth across the Philippines and broader APAC region.
  • Build strong relationships with project partners, government agencies, investors, industry stakeholders, and internal teams while mentoring junior colleagues and strengthening COP's commercial capabilities.

Your Experience

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline with strong academic performance.
  • Approximately 8-15 years of relevant experience, ideally within project finance, renewable energy, offshore wind, infrastructure, IPPs, investment banking, corporate banking, financial advisory, consulting, private equity, or similar sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading project financing and investment processes for large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong financial modelling, commercial analysis, valuation, business case development, and investment appraisal experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with proven ability to engage effectively with financial institutions, investors, government stakeholders, advisers, and senior leadership in international environments.
  • Experience within offshore wind, renewable energy, infrastructure financing, project development, investment banking, corporate banking, or development finance institutions will be highly valued.
  • Fluent in English is essential. Filipino language skills would be highly advantageous for candidates engaging with local stakeholders, government agencies, financing partners, and project counterparts in the Philippines.
