Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Finance and Accounting Manager to oversee the overall operations of the Finance & Accounting Department. The role is responsible for financial planning, accounting operations, audit coordination, compliance management, budgeting, and financial reporting to support company goals and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting Operations

  • Manage the overall functions of the Finance & Accounting Department.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure timely completion of financial activities.
  • Supervise and evaluate accounting staff performance and productivity.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and operating results.
  • Monitor monthly financial performance against budget and company targets.
  • Recommend benchmarks and strategies to improve financial performance.

Budgeting, Audit & Compliance

  • Coordinate internal and external financial audits.
  • Ensure compliance with BIR, SSS, SEC, DOLE, City Government, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve government reports, permits, taxes, and licenses.
  • Recommend process improvements and strengthen internal controls.

Cash Flow & Fund Management

  • Manage company funds, disbursements, remittances, and supplier payments.
  • Monitor cash flow and financial activities to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Review and verify payroll processing and related financial transactions.

Leadership & Coordination

  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with department heads regarding financial concerns and operational requirements.
  • Represent the company in meetings with auditors, government agencies, and external stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA license is preferred; MBA is an advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Finance & Accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in the Freight Forwarding industry is an advantage.

  • Government Regulations & Taxation
  • Proficient in MS Office and accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
