Okay Pay, Benefits Could Use a Boost
BlankSlateCreative is an okay place for an entry-level creative, especially if you're just starting out in a digital marketing agency. The compensation isn't amazing, but it's not terrible either. Just don't expect to get rich or have fantastic benefits.
The base salary for a Junior Graphic Designer here is decent, especially for a mid-sized digital marketing agency. You get a pretty standard 401k match, which is solid. Health insurance is fine, covers the basics.
Don't expect much in terms of bonuses or yearly raises; they're rare. The PTO policy isn't great, especially compared to other agencies in the Chicago area. Dental and vision benefits could really use an upgrade, they're pretty basic.
Re-evaluate the PTO structure and look into enhancing dental/vision plans to be more competitive. This would help with retention, especially for creative roles. Being more transparent about salary bands would also be helpful.
