Things were good, but job security is a concern
My experience as a Community Manager at We had its ups and downs. The team and day-to-day work were generally positive, especially in the New York City office. However, the constant restructuring and layoffs in the coworking industry made job security a major issue throughout my tenure. It was hard to feel settled or plan long-term.
I really enjoyed my time as a Community Manager. The team in the New York City office was awesome, super collaborative. They offer decent benefits and the space itself is pretty cool.
Job security in the coworking industry can be tough here. There were a lot of layoffs, especially after the IPO drama. It felt like roles were always on the chopping block, which was very stressful.
Management needs to be more transparent about the company's financial health and future plans. More communication could help ease the constant anxiety about job security for employees. Invest in retaining talent.
