Waynum Hardware Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Account Assistant to join our team in Pasir Gudang Johor. This full-time position will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting support to ensure the smooth and accurate financial management of the company.

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Preparing and processing invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner
• Reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts on a regular basis
• Assisting with the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and projections
• Providing administrative support to the finance team as needed
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations

• Fresh Graduate / Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting assistant role, preferably in the hardware or retail industry

Key Responsibilities: 

• Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate and timely posting in the accounting system. 
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including billing, collections, and payments. 
• Supervise petty cash and staff expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. 
• Prepare monthly reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and selected balance sheet schedules. 
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. 
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits, and respond to audit queries promptly. 
• Liaise with internal teams and external parties, including auditors, banks, vendors, and tax agents. 
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments. 
• Support management with ad-hoc accounting, finance, and administrative tasks. 
• Perform other finance-related duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 
• 1–3 years of relevant working experience. 
• Basic knowledge of AR, AP, and accounting processes. 
• Familiarity with SQL Accounting Systems and Microsoft Excel. 
• Strong attention to detail, well-organized, and able to meet deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

• Process and manage daily payroll for non-executive employees accurately and on time.
• Ensure payroll records and employee data are accurate and up to date.
• Prepare payment schedules and process salary disbursements.
• Maintain proper payroll documentation and ensure compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Handle daily accounting functions, data entry, filing, maintain and update accounting records
• Enter all transactions detail accurately into accounting system
• Preparing payments in the bank portal - maker level
• Run monthly bank reconciliation in system and any discrepancies need to be checked and corrected

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant (Site Costing) to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor project/site costing.
• Analyze project costs and identify cost variances.
• Verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, and delivery orders.
• Prepare costing reports for management.
• Monitor material, labour, and subcontractor costs.
• Assist in monthly account closing and account reconciliations.
• Prepare SST reports and assist in SST submission, ensuring compliance with the latest regulations.
• Maintain accurate accounting and costing records.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Purchasing Department, and external auditors/tax agents when required.
