What are you going to do?

As Business Unit Manager for APAC, you lead commercial strategy and sales execution across the region. Reporting to head office in the Netherlands, you manage a growing sales team, identify market opportunities, and drive revenue growth. Your role combines strategic leadership with hands-on sales involvement in this dynamic, high-impact position.


Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business unit strategies aligned with regional sales and revenue targets
  • Lead, coach, and manage the sales team while remaining actively involved in key sales activities
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities across APAC
  • Redefine market priorities and bring focus within highly competitive sectors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, customers, and internal stakeholders
  • Negotiate, close deals, and support the team in complex sales cycles
  • Prepare monthly forecasts, performance updates, and strategic insights for head office
  • Represent the company at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events
  • Travel within the APAC region as required

Kandidate profile

You demonstrate strong leadership capabilities combined with commercial acumen and stakeholder management expertise. Your communication style is clear and persuasive, enabling you to influence across cultures and organizational levels. You thrive in competitive, dynamic environments and bring strategic thinking to complex market challenges.


Job requirements:

  • 5–7 years of commercial experience, ideally in the poultry sector or related FMCG/food industries
  • Proven track record in sales and sales management, with the ability to achieve and exceed targets
  • Experience building or managing sales teams in competitive markets
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; Chinese language skills are a strong plus
  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of APAC markets and regional business culture
  • Willingness to travel across the region
