Job Summary
The Conversion & Accessories Engineer is responsible for strengthening vehicle Model Life Management (MLM) through strategic accessories planning, development, and enhancement. This role involves leading accessories product planning activities, coordinating cross-functional projects with internal and external parties, and ensuring timely delivery in line with company milestones. The position ensures accessories are developed with strong production workability, quality focus, and readiness for vehicle launch, ultimately enhancing base vehicle specifications and introducing new products to the market.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Strengthen vehicle model life management (MLM) with accessories.
- Lead accessories planning activities for vehicle MLM
- Explore new accessories products to align with market & technology movement.
- Plan & coordinate the project with internal & external parties and meet company milestone.
- Engagement with Toyota Affiliates for accessories development related.
Operational Responsibilities
- Lead accessories product development.
- Develop accessories product with good production workability.
- Ensure accessories product readiness for development confirmation & launch preparation.
- Development handover process to the operation side to start with production.
- Prioritize good quality in accessories product & process design.
General responsibilities
Principle Responsibilities
Enhance base vehicle specification with the accessories products.
Additional Responsibilities
Develop & introduce new products to the market.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred from Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent backgrounds.
Skills
- Professional level of spoken and written English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinking.
- Resourcefulness – Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Project management – Control & coordination.
- Good in technical theory & practical.
- CAD assembly & design.
Experience
- Fresh graduates are welcomed.
- Experience in the automotive industry is an added advantage.
