Behind every program is a financial operations backbone that needs to be efficient, accurate, and scalable.


We're now looking for a Finance & Accounts Assistant Manager who loves the nuts and bolts of financial operations! In this role, you will:

  • Oversee accounts payable operations — manage vendor payments, invoice processing, payment runs, and ensure timely, accurate disbursements across multiple projects and currencies
  • Streamline financial processes — identify bottlenecks, design workflows, implement automation, and continuously improve operational efficiency
  • Manage cash flow and reconciliations — monitor bank accounts, conduct regular reconciliations, and ensure liquidity for day-to-day operations
  • Strengthen internal controls — build and enforce AP policies, approval workflows, and financial governance to minimize risk and ensure compliance
  • Coordinate multi-project budgets — track expenditures across programmes, flag variances, and support project teams with budget monitoring and reporting
  • Support month-end close and reporting — ensure accurate financial records, prepare management reports, and provide operational insights to leadership
  • Supervise and mentor finance staff — guide junior team members on processes, review their work, and build operational capacity within the team


We'd love to meet someone who:

  • Has 3–5 years of hands-on experience in finance operations or accounts payable, ideally in project-based or mission-driven organizations
  • Loves process improvement and has a track record of streamlining workflows, reducing manual work, or implementing better systems
  • Is highly detail-oriented, proficient with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar), and thrives on accuracy and reconciliation
  • Can manage multiple projects, vendors, and stakeholders while maintaining strong internal controls and financial discipline
  • Is proactive, solutions-focused, and energized by making financial operations run smoothly
