  • Support financial goals by reviewing gateway-related costs, uplift charges, and reporting variances.
  • Enforce strict compliance with UPS gateway procedures, aviation regulations, and security protocols.
  • Conduct gateway audits and ensure proper record-keeping for regulatory and UPS-required audits (e.g., TSA/CAA, security checks, X-ray screening compliance).
  • Complete the monthly self-assessment and report it to the region.
  • Leadership & People Management
  • Lead and motivate hub, sort, and gateway teams to achieve operational goals and maintain high engagement.
  • Foster a culture built on safety, accountability, and service excellence.
  • Manage performance, develop talent pipelines, and support succession planning for key roles.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, cross-skilling, and structured training to develop team capabilities.
  • Ensure all gateway and hub staff are trained, certified, and competent for their assigned tasks.

  • Ensure full compliance with aviation safety, security, and regulatory requirements across hub and gateway operations.
  • Enforce adherence to safety practices, risk assessments, and SOPs.
  • Lead or support internal/external audits, including AIE, QAP, ASCR, and gateway-specific audits.
  • Maintain documentation and compliance records required for regulatory bodies and UPS corporate standards.
  • Operational Excellence & Analytics
  • Use analytical insights to assess operational performance, cost efficiency, and productivity.
  • Perform cost analysis, root-cause investigations, and prepare business cases to drive improvements.
  • Track KPIs such as service levels, gateway uplift performance, safety metrics, cost per package, and productivity.
  • Develop actionable recommendations to improve service, cost, and operational efficiency.
  • Innovation & Digitalization
  • Drive continuous improvement and challenge outdated processes.
  • Leverage Microsoft 365 tools (Copilot, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) to streamline operations and enhance collaboration.
