The Product Compliance Executive supports the EU Product Compliance team in ensuring that all products meet EU and international regulatory, safety, and quality standards. This role is responsible for day-to-day compliance operations, monitoring EU regulations, assisting in risk prevention, maintaining documentation, and supporting EU product launches and import activities.
Responsibilities
EU Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
- Understand and interpret EU-HS codes, import/export regulations, CE marking, REACH, RoHS, and other EU specific standards.
- Proactively identify compliance risks and implement preventive solutions.
Compliance Monitoring & Product Oversight
- Maintain up to date knowledge of EU testing standards, regulatory specifications, and approval requirements for major product categories (Household, Medical, Appliances, Floor Cleaning, Toys, Packaging, etc.).
Third Party Coordination
- Engage and manage EU-based consultants, certification bodies, and testing agencies for regulatory approvals.
- Monitor lead times and ensure timely delivery of certifications.
Documentation & Tracking
- Maintain a centralized EU compliance tracking system for licenses, permits, certificates, and regulatory filings.
- Ensure documents are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
- Vet all supplier and third-party compliance documents (test reports, certifications, DoC) to ensure accuracy, authenticity, and alignment with EU regulatory requirements before submission to internal or external stakeholders.
Process Improvement & SOP Implementation
- Collaborate with teams to improve SOPs and workflows for EU compliance.
- Implement preventive measures to avoid shipment delays or regulatory breaches.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track EU compliance performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
- Report progress and emerging risks to management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Local Import Teams, EU project teams, and other stakeholders to resolve compliance issues efficiently and proactively.
Legislative Monitoring
- Monitor EU legislative and regulatory changes and advise management on potential impacts to business operations.
Project Involvement
- Participate in EU product launches or import projects, providing compliance expertise to ensure smooth approvals.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform tasks assigned by the superior, focusing on proactive problem solving and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in EU-focused regulatory compliance, product compliance, or trade compliance roles.
- Strong understanding of EU regulations (CE, REACH, RoHS) and HS code classification.
- Experience working with third-party testing agencies, certification bodies, or ISO/product compliance environments is preferred.
- Proven proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate compliance risks and implement preventive measures.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
