Conduct comprehensive background research to understand the client's business environment
Leading and performing assigned audit engagement based on applicable financial reporting, audit, and quality management standards
Direct the day-to-day activities of the audit team to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
Supervise and review the work of associates and trainees, ensuring adherence to set objectives, independence, objectivity, and balance
Manage audit engagements and team affairs, ensuring deliverables meet work plan specifications and deadlines
Coordinate with team members to address any issues and ensure smooth operation Identify compliance issues and ensure audits adhere to relevant legislation, regulations, and professional standards
Resolving moderate audit issues, utilizing professional judgment
Consult with superiors to resolve significant audit issues, ensuring compliance with standards
Act as a primary point of contact for clients during audit engagements, ensuring clear communication and understanding of audit processes
Job Requirements
Advance to profound understanding of audit concepts and preparation of audit working papers
Ability to identify and report audit issues under supervision.
Familiarity with auditing standards, MIA by-laws, financial accounting standards, and relevant laws such as the Companies Act and Accountants Act.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and audit team members. Willingness to learn and adapt to diverse audit tasks.
