We are looking for a Senior QA Tester to drive quality assurance for our software products. In this role, you will play a key role in guiding QA initiatives, supporting and mentoring junior testers, and identifying opportunities to improve testing processes, product quality, and team efficiency. You will work closely with Developers, Project Managers, and Business Analysts to ensure smooth, high-quality software releases.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead functional, integration, regression, and performance testing for web and mobile applications.
- Take ownership of QA projects, ensuring thorough test coverage, quality standards, and timely delivery.
- Mentor and guide junior QA team members, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in QA processes and propose improvements to enhance productivity, test coverage, and product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, provide feedback on potential risks, and ensure smooth project delivery.
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans, strategies, test cases, and QA documentation to uphold standards.
- Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, or testing methods to continuously improve the QA function.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and team discussions to enhance workflow and team practices.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing techniques and the software testing lifecycle.
- Proven experience taking ownership of QA projects and mentoring junior testers.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Postman, Selenium, or equivalent.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proactive and able to propose and implement improvements in QA processes, testing strategies, and overall team efficiency.
