Description
- Oversee and manage the accounts payable team to ensure efficient operations and timely processing of invoices.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Monitor vendor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and review financial reports related to accounts payable functions.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to address payment issues and inquiries.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations.
- Provide training and guidance to team members to ensure professional development and high performance.
Profile
A Successful AP Team Lead Should Have
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 10 years of accounts payable processes and financial controls experience within the Shared Services environment.
- 5 years plus of managing a team is a (MUST HAVE)
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
- Leadership abilities to manage and develop a team effectively.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
